LEBEC, CA (Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 11 a.m.)–El Tejon Unified School District Trustee Cathy Wallace has resigned her seat on the board. In a statement dated July 19, Superintendent Katie Kleier said Wallace’s July 14 resignation was effective immediately.

The complete statement by Superintendent Kleier follows:

"On July 14, 2011, Cathy Wallace informed me that, due to health issues, she was resigning from the board of trustees effective immediately. Your board of trustees will discuss how the vacancy will be filled at the regularly scheduled meeting August 10, 2011. Mrs. Wallace’s term expires in 2014.

Cathy provided our district with dedicated service for five years. We will miss her counsel and wisdom."
