Holiday Faire Offers Fun…and Shopping
Members of the Condors Hockey team from Bakersfield will be riding in the Fantasy of Lights parade Saturday, Dec. 4. The Holiday Faire opens at noon and the parade will begin at dusk, traveling from the South Pole (Coffee Cantina) to the North Pole (Frazier Park Market). Condor photo ops and autographs are planned, as are photo portraits with Santa.
Vendors’ booths and street performers will create a festive air in Frazier Park. At dusk the promenade will be ablaze with lights, when The Fantasy of Lights parade will begin with its “A Cartoon Christmas” theme set by the Chamber of Commerce.
There will be a raffle of 50/50 tickets so the lucky winner will have cash for Christmas. The same raffle tickets are eligible to win one of many prizes donated by local businesses, to be raffled throughout the day. All tickets can be purchased at the chamber booth, which will be located in the A Spot of Bead parking lot.
All proceeds from the Santa photos taken at Alpine Lumber and Mercantile by professional photographer Lori Murphy will be donated to the local Rotary Food bank.
Grand Marshal for the parade will be Captain Christopher Stroub, of Kern County Fire Department’s Lebec Station 56.
