New York Times Features Lake of the Woods Water Woes

LAKE OF THE WOODS, CA (Saturday, March 8, 2014)—The New York Times today featured the dry wells at Lake of the Woods on page one of its print issue. The story titled “n Parched California, Town Taps Run Nearly Dry,” is accompanied by video interviews with Bob Stowell and Craig Raiche as they recap conservation efforts by LOW’s residents and the history from last year of exploratory wells that have been dry. It also tells of hopeful efforts coming up to drill additional, deeper wells with the assistance of geologists canvasing the area for likely well sites.
