UPDATE (Wednesday, June 10, 11:50 a.m.)—The date is Thursday, June 18, The place is Cuddy Hall in Lake of the Woods. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the community to sample "Taste of the Mountain" offerings from local restaurants. At 7 p.m. the program starts. Because the public comment period clock is ticking down quickly, The Mountain Enterprise has organized a party to invite the public to get the facts while enjoying samples from our local restaurants.
On Wednesday, the newspaper confirmed that numerous local restaurants will present "Taste of the Mountain" samples from their menus, free of charge, to community members who attend the Cuddy Hall presentation.
County planners will give the public an overview, cutting to the chase to synopsize the contents of the 21,000 page Draft Environmental Impact Report for Tejon Mountain Village. Tejon Ranch Company is seeking permits to build 3,450 homes and five resort hotels in the Lebec area. Please arrive at 6:30 p.m. for food service. FRAZIER PARK, Calif. (Monday, June 8, 2009, 12:50 p.m.)—Kern County Planning Department Division Chief Lorelei Oviatt, along with Planning Department staff will present the Tejon Mountain Village Draft Environmental Impact Report to the Mountain Communities on Thursday, June 18 at 7 p.m. in Cuddy Hall, located at the corner of Frazier Mountain Park Road and Lakewood Place, Lake of the Woods.
