‘Party Thieves’ Break Into Lebec Church

They took hot dogs, buns, lemonade, four tall speakers, spotlights, a monitor and a video projection system. They left behind the church’s offerings and its computer, but doused the office with fire extinguisher foam, as if the thieves were skylarking when they broke into the Lebec Community Church sometime Saturday, July 10.

The door was forcibly opened and damaged. A rock was thrown through the window and wires to the AV system were vandalized. Damage is estimated at $2,600, a felony. Church members were distressed at the mess, but cleaned it up and held services Sunday anyway. Information will be welcomed at 661-861-3110.
