FRAZIER PARK, CA (Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2023 at 4:56 p.m.)—The Tecuya fire is 50% contained, according to Los Padres National Forest officials. A firefighting force of 500 is working the fire and has held the blaze to only 73 acres burned. This morning’s update had containment at only 10%, so this afternoon’s news is welcomed by local residents.

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023 at 10:31 a.m.)—The Tecuya fire started at about 7:25 a.m. today above Lake of the Woods, but on the north side of the mountain. The fire has been burning primarily northward, down the north slopes and has not burned toward Lake of the Woods or Frazier Park.
