GORMAN, CA (December 3, 2018 at 7:51 a.m.)—All lanes are now open, according to CHP.

GORMAN, CA (December 3, 2018 at 6:30 a.m.)—CHP reports that three lanes of southbound Interstate 5 are closed from Smokey Bear Road to Cherry Canyon (south of Pyramid Lake) until 8 a.m. The three closed lanes are #1 (fast lane), #2 and #3. The #4 (slow lane) is open. Mountain Communities residents can get around this slowdown by taking State Route 138 east to Lancaster and State Route 14 south back to Interstate 5. The lanes are closed for repainting of the roadway lines.
