TRAFFIC ALERT: Interstate 5 Closures in Castaic, Thursday-Tuesday

SCHEDULED I-5 FREEWAY CLOSURES THURSDAY
THROUGH TUESDAY

FRAZIER PARK, California (Thursday, Feb. 5 at 10:30 a.m.)—The following is a schedule of freeway closures beginning this weekend for the I-5 Freeway southbound and northbound near Hasley Canyon Road in Castaic:

• The southbound I-5 freeway is scheduled for full closure on Thursday, February 05, 2009 from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The detour for the southbound I-5 traffic will exit at Hasley Canyon southbound off-ramp, south on The Old Road to the southbound Route 5 on-ramp at Henry Mayo Drive.

• The northbound I-5 freeway is scheduled for full closure on Friday, February 6, 2009 from 12:00 am to 5:00 am.
The detour for the northbound I-5 traffic will exit at 126 west; south on Commerce Center Drive; east on Henry Mayo Drive; north on The Old Road to the northbound I-5 on-ramp, at Lake Hughes Road.

• The southbound I-5 freeway is scheduled for full closure on Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 am.
The detour for the southbound I-5 traffic will exit at Hasley Canyon southbound off-ramp, south on The Old Road to the southbound Route 5 on-ramp at Henry Mayo Drive.

• The northbound I-5 freeway is scheduled for full closure on Monday, February 9, 2009 from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The detour for the northbound I-5 traffic will exit at 126 west; south on Commerce Center Drive; east on Henry Mayo Drive; north on The Old Road to the northbound I-5 on-ramp, at Lake Hughes Road.

• The southbound I-5 freeway is scheduled for full closure on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The detour for the southbound I-5 traffic will exit at Hasley Canyon southbound off-ramp, south on The Old Road to the southbound Route 5 on-ramp at Henry Mayo Drive,

The purpose of the freeway closures is to allow work on the new Hasley Canyon Bridge. Changeable message board signage will be posted to guide motorists through the detour. Also, CHP officers will be present at the site to assist motorists as necessary.
