LAKE OF THE WOODS / FRAZIER PARK, CA (Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 1:32 p.m.)—A Do Not Drink order that went into effect on Friday, June 10 has been lifted, according to Lake of the Woods Mutual Water Company Office Manager Pam Jarecki. The Do Not Drink order was imposed after water service was shut down late Thursday night, June 9 for work on the water blending project. While the water is now determined safe to drink in terms of bacteriological quality, LOWMWC warns that its water still exceeds the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) for high nitrates and water customers should continue to observe those precautions until notified by LOWMWC that the high nitrate alert is lifted. Lake of the Woods / Frazier Park, CA (Friday, June 10, 2016 at 2:40 p.m.)—LOWMWC manager Pamela Jarecki said that water service has been restored. Residents of Lake of the Woods are not to drink the water until notified by LOWMWC that samples have been declared clear of contaminants. See the notice at right.

Lake of the Woods / Frazier Park, CA (Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11:30 a.m.)—Water company manager Pam Jarecki said the interruption in water service is due to work being done to set up a water blending station for reduction of nitrate concentration in the water.
Lake of the Woods / Frazier Park, CA (Friday, June 10, 2016 at 10:55 a.m.)—Residents in Lake of the Woods are reporting that their water service is off. Some residents say they received notice via a ‘robo-call’ system on Thursday; others say they received a written notice indicating that service would be off north of Frazier Mountain Park Road from midnight (Thursday night) until 12 noon, Friday (today).
