Wildfire Awareness Expo on May 3

FRAZIER PARK, CA—(Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 4:20 p.m.) The Kern County Fire Department has released an announcement about a Wildfire Awareness Expo in Frazier Park to provide valuable information on wildfire awareness, hazard reduction, and emergency preparedness.

Wild land firefighting equipment will be on display. Local wild land firefighters will be there to answer questions and share tips about keeping your own home and family safe. There will be free hot dogs, chips, drinks, and educational materials for children, Kern County Fire Explorers, Forest Service, Cal Fire, CERT Teams, Fire Safe Councils, and Kern County Fire Hand Crews will be there, along with Smokey Bear who will pose with your family for pictures.

May 3, 2014 at Frazier Mountain Park (across from the library) 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
