$3.1 Million Jackpot Ours, If Frazier Park Shows Support

A Town Hall with food and hospitality from Caveman Cavey’s Pizza, La Sierra, Coffee Cantina, Mike’s Pizza and more will be hosted by the Frazier Park Public Utility District this coming Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. to tell the town about a $3.1 million jackpot waiting for them in federal stimulus funds. All Frazier Park homeowners are urged to attend Tuesday at the Frazier Mountain Park Community Center.

The 83-year-old water system needs to replace three tanks and upgrade six others in Phase II of its system update plan.

To do that, FPPUD has been offered a $1 million grant and a $2.1 million low-rate loan by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development program.

The cost to Frazier Park customers is a $6 increase to the monthly base water rate. That will repay the loan over 40 years. Call 245-3734 for more information.
