Neenach, CA (Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016)—Jeff Zimmerman, a photographer and retired firefighter from Neenach, sent this account of a quiet evening at home:

“Well, it was hot, dry and windy tonight. pulled up a chair on my porch with a glass of ice tea to rest and I could see yet another fire, this time it turned out to be a possible stolen auto, burning with a bit of vegetation on Ave B-8 east of 250th street. Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Engine 77 responded. Two sheriff’s units came to investigate.”

Zimmerman commented that the entire community is at risk from such an action.
