INCIDENT CLOSED: Alleged Burglars Fled On Foot After Van Crashed in Pine Mountain

PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB, CA (Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 5:10 p.m.)—A burglary was interrupted on Yellowstone Drive in Pine Mountain Club just before 4:12 p.m. this afternoon. Two Kern County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched. The burglar/s drove off in a white van.

They drove west from Yellowstone, toward Woodland, and crashed the van in a ditch near the entrance to Snowflake Trail on Mil Potrero Highway. The deputies arrived to a cloud of dust “and two popped airbags” said Deputy Money, in asking for information about the Snowflake greenbelt area.

The alleged burglars are said to be on foot at this time, possibly circulating in neighborhoods or hiding in the greenbelt. Residents are advised to keep their doors locked and to avoid picking up hitchhikers until the suspects are apprehended. We will report here as soon as apprehension is confirmed.
