TME website was down due to Exim Server vulnerability

On Friday, June 14, half the world’s mail servers were shut down as a precaution against hackers who could exploit the servers’ vulnerabilities. Because a software bug in the “Exim Server” platform left mail systems around the world open to attacks, most were taken offline.

The Mountain Enterprise server was one of those needing to be shut down for five days. Its web server was shut down as well.

Service was restored on Tuesday afternoon, Jun 18, and work is now underway to set up the Friday, June 14 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise. It is hoped that the June 14 edition will be available by the end of Wednesday.

This week’s June 21 edition should be live by the normal time, late afternoon on Friday.

This is part of the June 7, 2019 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise.
