INCIDENT CLOSED: Grass fire burning in Lebec

LEBEC, CA (Monday, June 10, 2019 at 3:17 p.m.)—A knockdown of the fire has been declared. Air, bulldozer and out of county resources have all been canceled.

LEBEC, CA (Monday, June 10, 2019 at 3:16 p.m.)—Los Angeles County Engine 77’s response has been canceled by the captain on scene.

LEBEC, CA (Monday, June 10, 2019 at 3:14 p.m.)—Kern County Patrol 55 is on scene and is beginning to work the north flank of the fire.

LEBEC, CA (Monday, June 10, 2019 at 3:01 p.m.)—A small grass fire is burning on the south side of Interstate 5 just south of Fort Tejon. Engine 56 has arrived on scene. Aircraft and bulldozers are “on hold” while crews determine the extent of the fire’s spread. The current estimate is a size of about 100 feet by 50 feet, according to Engine 56 captain.
