New Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training set

All Mountain Community residents are invited to register for Community Emergency Response Training for this fall. The registration deadline is September 30. The 20 hour training class will be conducted over three Saturdays (October 11, October 25, and November 8).  Pre-registration is required, no walk-ins, because materials for each student need to be ordered and delivered in advance.

To register contact Tom Yancey:  phone: 242-1094, email:   tom1yancey@gmail.com. Again, registration closes September 30.The training leads to a certification.

Classes will be given at the Pine Mountain clubhouse (at Mil Potrero Highway and Beechwood Way, across from Pine Mountain Village).

Instructors are hopeful that volunteers from Piñon Pines, Cuddy Valley, Lake of the Woods, Lockwood Valley, Frazier Park, Lebec and Gorman will participate. CERT teams need to be set up in these areas to help secure public safety in the event of an earthquake, snow emergency and wildfires.
