News Update Man Stabbed in Frazier Park

FRAZIER PARK (Monday, April 27, 2009 4 p.m.)—Witnesses report that last night, shortly after 10 p.m., a man who lives in the 800 block of Santa Rosa Trail was stabbed three times in the chest.

Identified as Matias Lescano, 20 by a neighbor, he was taken to Kern Medical Center by helicopter.

Lescano is said to have moved to Frazier Park about two months ago from San Fernando.

Sheriff’s deputies reported that the victim’s injuries are not considered to be life threatening. Nonetheless, a bloodied shirt and shaken neighbors have been left in the wake of the event.

A suspect has not been apprehended. Anyone with information is asked to call the Kern County Sheriff’s Office at (661) 861-3110.
