TRAFFIC NEWS: Local LAPD Officer Injured in I-5 Crash

FRAZIER PARK, Calif. (Wednesday, Oct. 7, 11:17 a.m.) According to Sergeant Darrell Brooks of the California Highway Patrol, Ft. Tejon station, a Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer, Timothy Kay, 42 of Frazier Park, was moderately injured in an early morning crash on Interstate 5.

Officer Kay was headed home after working all night when around 6:30 a.m. his motorcycle collided with the rear of a pick-up on northbound I-5 at Tejon Summit. He suffered a fractured right arm and was airlifted by LA County Fire Department helicopter to USC Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The incident is still under investigation.
