Water main breaks in Frazier Park

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at 8:45 a.m.)—A 4-inch water line burst in Frazier Park on Wednesday night at about 9 p.m. The line, located at Kiwanis Trail and Valley (above the library) broke due to deterioration and age, according to FPPUD Water Operator Jonnie Allison.

Allison said his crews were able to get the 4-inch line clamped by 8:30 a.m. Thursday and were, at that time, working on a 1-inch line.

“It’s a nightmare of crossing gas lines and water lines,” Allison said, referring to the job of digging carefully so other lines are not ruptured.
